   I needed a washer in my RV that I’m currently living in full-time. Really didn’t want to do the laundromat thing especially during COVID. My RV has pre-installed taps and a drain for both a washer/drier combo. I couldn’t afford to get the costly ones sold for RVs so found this on portablewasherdryercombo.com. I was a little leery at first since it looked toy-like. Of course you don’t know how long it will last, but I can say right now after several washes it’s indispensable. The normal wash takes about 40 minutes and the clothes come out really quite dry. Heavier items a little less dry but good enough so I just put the near a heat vent and the next day they’re dry.
   Minor pet peeves are that the fill inlet is on top of the unit so the hose sticks up and gets in the way of opening the top cover.
   Also of course you can’t load it as much as a normal washer but that’s obvious.
   Also I would have liked an option for an extended warranty for peace of mind.
   I do have a question on why my manual says COLD water only in caps, several times. Would rather use warm.
   Lastly, the weight is light so you can move it around easily.
   All in all, a good buy; not really cheap but ok. Time will tell on the reliability.

   After perusing lots of reviews on portablewasherdryercombo.com and on Youtube, I realized that this same washer is sold under many different brand names: Panda, Magic Chef, Black and Decker, Homelabs, RCA amongst others. So I figured I’d buy the cheapest which at the time of my purchase was this one. I love this little thing. The “normal” cycle is peculiar as the machine agitates for a couple of minutes and then it stops for a couple of minutes. At first, I thought it was broken, but then it started agitating the clothes again and stopping again. That’s the way it goes for the “normal” cycle. This is why I much prefer the “heavy” cycle where it agitates constantly and for which you can program the wash time, spin time, and how many rinses you want. It is the only cycle which can be programmed. They don’t indicate this in the instructions manual. You do not need to buy anything else as it comes equipped with the hose and adaptor. It also has wheels in the back so it is easy to move when you tilt it. It says on the manual to only wash in cold water, but I have washed in warm with no problem.

   Listen up guys and gals. I was able to purchase this washer for a very reasonable price. Applied for the portablewasherdryercombo.com prime store card, got approved $300 cl and a free $100 giftcard that was applied to the purchase price on sale for $319-$100 gc=$219 on cc plus tax was total $242….. Fast forward. I can wash my QUEEN SIZE COMFORTERand still have room and I wash it on Heavy so it fills all the way up. I also use the the spin cycle only afterwards cause then it gets the comforter extra dry and only a few minutes in the dryer and its completely dry. Im talking like 15 to 20mins no lie.. i also use the heavy setting on Jeans and and pants and towels only because it really is very quiet when using this setting for those type of loads…. I like the Normal setting for light shirts and sheets and pillowcases. Now I tried the quick setting and it is really only good for bras, underwear and socks. Do not use that setting for anything else. Otherwise you will destroy the machine and it will be loud and spin cycle would knock up against the walls. Now for the hoses. I purchased a female connector and hooked it up to the COLD WATER SIDE. So FYI just use the cold setting or warm setting for every load and use the cold side for the hose and cut your HOT WATER ON from the faucet. Next the drain hose. You might as well go and purchase an extended one and get the silver clasp and you are good to go. Oh I almost forgot. It did arrive with a little dint in the front and I guess that’s normal bc I watched some other videos on YouTube and the small dent is in the same place lol. Its not really noticeable and didn’t affect the machine at all.

   I bought this washing machine as a temporary solution because my washing machine has been broke for 4 weeks and still waiting for it to be repaired. This washing machine was easy to set up and easy to use but it did arrive damaged. I didn’t want the hassle of returning it and ordering another one because it did not affect the way the unit works. We temporarily put this outside where we had a sink so we already had water and drain setup. This is perfect for small places. This is only for small loads of laundry, it fits four pairs of jeans at a time. I don’t see how anyone could wash area rugs or blankets in this…you would still need to go to a laundromat. I like the way the lid closes and the controls are easy to read and easy to select the cycle that you want. The spin cycle is fast and drains as well as a larger machine.

   I use it off my kitchen sink and only use cold water to wash. I can wash blankets in this machine, which is a huge bonus.

   I spent weeks researching portable washers. I watched review after review. I didn’t want to end up with a cheap, substandard piece of crap. After everything, I finally settled on the Hamilton Beach 2 cu. Ft. Portable washer. I chose it because of its large washing capacity, and because it’s made by RCA. I could have gotten an off brand washer the same size for like $100 less but I didn’t want to put my faith in a random name brand I’ve never heard of. My washer arrived a day early, on Monday march 10th 2025. The delivery guy helped me get it inside of my apartment. The box it was shipped in was visibly damaged. I unboxed it and noticed a few dents in the body of the washer. Receiving a damaged unit was one of my concerns because of how complicated it would be to return a 100lb washer. I got the washer hooked up. Setup was easy. I did 4 loads of laundry in a row to test it. Everything went smoothly. The washer was fairly quiet. The clothes came out clean. This washer can handle fairly large loads of laundry. I was very surprised by that. I find the washer to be durable, and of good quality. The body of the washer is metal. The lid is real tempered glass. It comes with the hoses, and quick connect attachment. I bought an appliance dolly separately to move it easily. All in all, I think it was a great investment. Given I’ve only had it for a day and a half. I’ve done 5 or 6 loads so far. The only thing I’ve noticed that isnt ideal is, My sink drain can’t keep up with the washer draining water. I have to keep an eye on it to prevent an overflow. I’d say if your on the fence about which washer to get, I would recommend this Hamilton Beach washer. They come in multiple sizes. I chose one of the bigger sizes(2 cu. Ft.) For just over $300 after tax. As I said earlier, I could have gotten an offbrand washer the same size for roughly $100 cheaper but I wanted quality, and RCA (who makes Hamilton Beach), is a brand I’m familiar with and have had positive experiences with in the past. If my opinion of this washer changes, or problems arise, I will update my review to reflect that.

   This is a beautiful washing machine. If you read and follow the manual carefully, you will have no problem unpacking and setting it up. It agitates well and spins very fast. Clothes come out clean and almost dry. It is relatively quiet in all cycles. The capacity is good (e.g., 4 flannel shirts and a jogging set). The control panel is easy to use. It has a lid which drops and closes in slow motion–a nice touch. Highly recommended!
