   I just moved to a small apartment, about 500 sq. ft., and for the first time in many years did not have an in house washing machine. I really,REALLY hate laundromats so ordered this machine by the time I’d been here one month. My washer arrived the day it was due and in perfect condition! After removing it from the box I read the instructions, lifted it onto my bed so I could screw on the plastic bottom plate, eased it back onto the floor and using the wheels on the back bottom of the machine, wheeled my new treasure to the kitchen sink. After making sure which included attachment I needed, I removed my aerator and the black washer as instructed, and screwed the attachment tightly onto my faucet. I then attached the included quick attach hose to the faucet. The drain hose daraped over the front of the sink and was quite stable. I plugged my new best friend in and proceeded to wash several loads. Each load came out looking and smelling very clean! Also spun very dry! I am so very happy that I bought the Panda portable washer!! To wash with warm I simply turn on both hot and cold to desired temperature for the inlet hose. I don’t advise leaving the house with the washer going; you never know. I am a 72 year old woman and did everything with no help. Easy peasy! I would definately buy this machine again! 1 month later: Does a great job getting clothes clean. It’s quiet and spins everything almost dry! Would buy again!!!

   In short, I believe this washing machine is perfect IF: A. You’re tired of visiting laundromats B. You need a washing machine large enough to wash blankets and/or pillows C. You’re willing to sacrifice alittle bit of floor space in order to get the benefits of “A” and “B.” When you live full time in less than 250 sq ft of space, you learn to get creative and prioritize what matters to you. After 2 years of visiting laundromats, I began to look for a solution to installing a portable washing machine in our RV. If you’ve ever put “best RV washing machines” into a search engine, you’ll know you’ll come up with dozens of makes, models, and sizes to choose from. I knew I wanted an electric model (there are old-school “manual” washing methods out there. Not against that, but in a family of 4 with 5 dogs and 2 cats, that isn’t practical for us in the long term). I knew I wanted a larger model. They have tiny…and I mean REALLY small washing machines out there, but I wanted something that I could wash basic bedding in it if I needed to, like a pillow or a blanket. This machine is the equivalent of washing half of what a “normal” home washing machine can do, BUT it’s still large enough to wash a standard-size pillow in. (obviously, to wash a massive comforter or our giant weighted blankets, I’ll have to go to a Laundromat, but that was always true even with a larger machine at our house). Lastly, I love this machine because not only does it spin the clothes REALLY well, so they don’t need a long time to line-dry, there is an “air dry” feature built into the washing machine (takes an extra 60 minutes, but especially for heavier items like towels and jeans it’s totally worth it). Trade off? We lost some floor space in our 2nd bathroom. We can still use the toilet, sink, and shower, it’s just alittle tighter than it once was. For us, this was a win, because we wanted a washing machine that could actually…you know…keep up with our family and wash all our clothes. AND that hose is a “quick disconnect,” so it’s super easy to remove and we can still use the sink for washing hands, getting ready in the morning, etc. To address some of the negative reviews — first of all, read the Manual. #1…because it’s hilarious, as the native-language-to-English- translation is comical. #2. Because it addresses ALL of the problems people are mentioning, like: Leaking? Well, check your hose connections, and it says right in there to make sure to not overfill the washing machine with water as it can splash out of the drum. The bottom of this machine is “open,” meaning any water splashing out of the drum will go on your floor. We put shams down, in our case, just in case that should happen. Oh, it’s not filling up with water? They tell you how to add more, at any point, during the wash cycle, if the water level isn’t up to your expectations. Water comes out of the drain hose too fast? Yep, it does. Cuz it’s draining it. And it may overflow a tiny RV sink, so find a bigger drain (like the one in a shower). In short, like everything in the RV world, you have to prioritize what’s important to you. What you need, and what you’re willing to sacrifice (if need be) to fulfill that need. For us, this machine is a game changer, a life changer, that will help make things easier for many years to come by saving us time, energy, and even money in the long run…and the only thing we sacrificed is unused floor space in a bathroom we typically only use in the morning and at night. For us, it was a win-win-win.

   Nicer than expected! Closer to 4.5/5 stars in my book. The instructions are a little clumsy and vague, differences between some of the settings aren’t clarified anywhere (such as “standard” vs. “normal”). It’s loud-ish but our downstairs neighbors have yet to complain. We did have an issue with the sink adapter. Many sink faucets are not designed to handle backflow pressure created by such a setup, which caused our faucet to leak tons of water underneath the cabinet. To get around this, I added a splitter and shutoff to the water outlet under our kitchen sink. See attached photos for specifics on which parts I used to get everything set up. It’s working great so far!

    Love this washer. I was looking for an affordable alternative to using the expensive laundry room in my apartment building that could still handle a decently sized load of laundry and this is perfect for it! Things of note: – Capacity: Big enough to handle a light queen sized throw (picture attached for visualization) or a set of full sized bed sheets (cling, flat, and two pillowcases). That’s about the max capacity though. – Noise level: It’s about the same volume as a regular washer. The only thing I dislike in terms of volume is how loudly is beeps when it’s done or if the load is unbalanced. It’s quite shrill and lasts much longer than necessary. – Maneuverability: It could be better. The two wheels are sufficient for short distance from the corner of my kitchen to the sink, but I am afraid that I’ll drop it each time I tilt it given its weight. I plan to get a four wheeled roller to put the washer on, but even with that added expense, this washer is still worth it. – Usability: It’s great! Hook up is easy and always goes smoothly. Just attach the adapter and hose to your faucet, attach hose to the machine input, turn the cold water on, and select your program. It’ll fill and drain based on whichever one you choose. The programs are pretty intuitive and it comes with direction if you do need them. – Size: It’s about the size I would expect for the capacity size of the washer and it works well enough in a small apartment. I keep it in the corner of the kitchen and its out of the way until I need it. The dimensions are about 19x19x32 from some quick measurements I took. – Spinning out water: It gets the majority of the water out, to the point things are only marginally damp and will air dry completely within a few hours. Overall this washer is perfect for the small apartment lifestyle. It does what it needs to do and it seems much more durable that many other small washers on the market. It’s also well made and seems like it will last for a long time. Can’t recommend it enough!
