   The machine can hold a significant amount of laundry for its size (15 pounds) – which is why I purchased this. It is notably good quality and smart looking so it does not look out of place outside of a closet, in the open, as pictured. That’s hard to find as most top loaders could not pull off a “nice looking” aesthetic. Spin cycle is great and leaves clothes very dry. It came with all necessary attachments to have this up and running in 5 minutes from opening the box. Well packaged and not a scratch on it when delivered (rurally, even). Really impressed with this machine so far! Would certainly recommend. If it holds up to time and usage I would recommend this machine based on specs as it currently outperforms anything in its size/weight capacity and I did a lot of research prior to purchase. Will update review if I note any unreasonable failures.

   Purchased this compact washer for next summer when we set up our new RV. I am truly amazed by this small washer. It is currently set up in my laundry room at home. I use my home washer for larger loads and have used the Black and Decker compact for smaller loads to test it out. I am thrilled with it. Best decision to purchase it. I can pick it up easily although I decided to purchase a dolly for it. It is easy to move, easy to use, quiet and efficient. I will continue to use it over the winter for smaller loads. Word of advice to anyone buying….remember to not overload and use the right quantity of HE laundry soap. It is a wonderful machine so read the manufacturer’s instructions and don’t treat it like a full size machine. I love mine.

   One, it takes just the right amount of space. I live in a small one bedroom, about 600 Sq ft and it fits behind my bathroom door, at around 17 x 17 inches of bottom space and 30 inches tall to 40 inches with the lid open. I purchased a small dolly to help move it. Since the washer is difficult to maneuver just on its own. It had two small wheels but you have to tilt it and that is not easy in small spaces. I purchased the “Trimate KD Furniture Dolly, Square 16 x 16”. Its very solid plastic, has a modern pop look and putting it together was extremely easy. It does not come with locking wheels, so if you need that, it might be a deal breaker. But I’ve done fine without the locks. The hook up to water has been slightly challenging. It fits my kitchen sink with the adapter it came with. The male fitting fits a female fitting of 3/4” inches. I have a handheld shower head and if I remove it, I can attach the hose with a “Garden Hose Adapter 3/4 GHT Male x 1/2 NPT Male Connector”. You can also fill it up manually, but this requires constant supervision, and it needs to be done at wash, at rinses. The machine will stop and will only continue if you fill it with water. The issues: The reason why the machine leaks has all to do with the water supply hose and the drain hose. You need to make sure that the water hose is tight at both ends to avoid spilling. When you turn on the tap, it’s best to do so at a small to medium opening, not the whole way because that adds too much pressure. I only turn the tap on when I know it needs it. Once you start using it, you’ll hear a hum when it’s trying to receive water. You can leave the tap on if you want but only at low pressure. It makes very low noises. It’s discreet and I’ve heard dishwasher make more sounds. The drain issue: when draining, it’s best to bring the hose up to level with the sink or same height as the machine. That avoids the drain spilling from the bottom. And the drain hose needs to be pointing a wide and deep enough basin. So a kitchen sink, a bathroom tub is okay. A bathroom sink? Maybe not, because they can be shallow. And too much water leaving the machine all at once creates a spill. Water: it’s best when using cold water but you can use warm, as long as it’s not too hot. It uses as much as the settings you choose. It has five wash settings and each of them are customizable for load size, rinse cycles and spins. More rinses means more water, higher loads means more water, longer washes, more water. You choose depending on your needs. I’ve found that using fabric softener is sorta useless because the detergent is scented and the effect is lost by the time clothes are rinsed. It’s best to use detergent with softener. And if you’re using pods, you might need to dissolve them ahead of time. I dissolve my liquid detergent in a small bucket and add it to the wash. Traditional soaps are better than eco ones because enzymes are less effective in cold water, but you can do research on your own brand. I’ve been able to wash one weeks worth of clothes in one load. I’m a 5’3 woman who wears one set of clothes. It can also wash one queen size duvet cover with pillowcases and a bath sheet. Or a fitted sheet and a blanket. I was also able to wash a twin comforter very well. It’s important to clean the lint trapper after each use, since it traps hairs and loose fabric. I leave the machine open for a few hours after use to avoid trapping moisture in the drum. Since it leads to smells. I would not recommend this to wash small pillows or shoes because the impeller motion and spin destabilizes the machine and it goes off. If you have heavy shed pets, this is also not ideal unless you de-shed your clothes because the lint trapper is too small and it wouldn’t wash well. I’ve been able to do loads all the way to the top but with light items. Not jeans or anything heavier. Those need more space and more water. There’s really a big learning curve with this machine. It becomes yours because there’s no other choice. I’m happy I bought it because it’s cute and it saves me 10$ a week. I can air dry all my clothes easy because the spin leaves them damp, not wet. I hope it lasts and that the $216 I spent (I bought used, good, returned) are worth it.

   I have a pull down kitchen faucet that I like, and I’m not willing to go back to the old style, just so I can use their faucet adapter. I do NOT have washer/dryer hookups, and I live in a small studio. This is what I did for a semi-permanent setup with both hot and cold water (2.0 Cu. Ft. model). Should work with all size models, as they all use the same water supply hose connections (3/4 GHT). 1. I tapped into the supply lines under my kitchen sink using (2) Add-A-Tee Valves: https://www.portablewasherdryercombo.com.com/dp/B09CZ4J5K8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 If you only have cold water (0.9 Cu. Ft. model), or you just don’t want hot, only buy one of these. It should fit standard kitchen faucet supply hoses. It fit the ones that came with my faucet perfectly. They are 3/8 compression fittings, with gaskets, so they thread easily, fit tight, and you don’t need pipe thread Teflon tape. It comes with an adapter (gets you from 3/8 to 1/2) that you want to connect to the side with the ball valve. That way you can shut off the water to your washer, if you still want to be able to disconnect and move it somewhere else for storage. More on that later (step 4). The handle of the valve is the only part of this Tee that feels a little cheap, but it should turn VERY easily. I’m confident that if I’m gentle, it will not break, and there is no reason to be rough with it. Don’t force it. If it isn’t moving, you’re turning it the wrong way. Try it before you install it. 2. The adapter to get you from 1/2 NPT to 3/4 GHT, which is what you need to connect the washer water supply hoses: https://www.portablewasherdryercombo.com.com/dp/B0C1NHD98M?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 This is a 2 pack, and does come with pipe thread tape, which I used liberally on the 1/2 male threads before connecting. This is the one adapter you’ll need that does not have a gasket seal. (Gasket seal = no pipe thread tape needed. No gasket = tape) Wrap it around nice and tight, several times. You want plenty of coverage on the threads, but you should still be able to thread the adapter on easily without resistance until it’s tight. I attached both adapters to the Tee, very snug, BEFORE installing it to the supply line and kitchen faucet hose under the sink. Use a couple of crescent wrenches and tighten everything really snug, but don’t crank so hard you break something. 3. The included washer water supply hoses are only 4 feet long, so I bought these: https://www.portablewasherdryercombo.com.com/dp/B07X53VLPD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Measure your distance, and see what you need, but I purchased 12 feet because I routed the hoses behind my cabinets and drilled an exit hole so I wouldn’t have to leave my cabinet doors open. If you put these in drywall, I would obviously get some drywall anchors and screws (flat, not rounded, so they sit flush) to secure the mounts. They work great, and if you ever needed to replace the hoses, all you have to do is cut and replace the cable ties. I like this passthrough port because it’s spring loaded, quick install, and works for holes in thicker wood. 4. Just make sure you close your Tee valves BEFORE you disconnect. You will hear a little hiss of pressure when you pop the quick connects off the washer, but as long as the Tee valves under the sink are closed, it will be fine. —————————————————————————- I have been using this setup for about 2 weeks now, and it’s been amazing. Not one single leak or drop of water anywhere. DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A LICENSED PLUMBER. I am just a person who was tired of going to the laundromat. I did a bunch trial and error, buying and returning parts, until I made this work. I was very frustrated that I couldn’t find a single review or video for somebody that didn’t want to, or wasn’t able to, use the faucet quick connect. I figured this out on my own, so I thought I’d share my experience for anybody else in a similar situation. BTW, with this setup, you can still USE YOUR FAUCET while you do laundry! It will be down to a trickle while the washing machine is filling, but that only takes a few minutes. ———————————————————————————————————– As far as the machine itself, I love it. I have 2 reasons for 4 stars: 1. I don’t think the spin cycle is long enough for heavier items (hoodies, jeans, etc.), on any of the wash programs (including heavy/bulky). They come out a little too wet still, and take forever to dry. I figured out you can just set it to “spin only” and spin it again, then hit pause if you don’t want it to go the full spin cycle. I usually do an extra 5 minutes, and everything dries significantly faster. Not a deal breaker, but an extra step. If you have a dryer, you probably won’t care about this. 2. I don’t like the lint filter. You don’t have to clean it every wash, but it’s kind of annoying. It’s a mesh bag that clips into the plastic housing. You have to turn it inside out, and pick the lint out with your fingers. The manual tells you to wash it with water, but I don’t want all that lint going down my drain, so I pick it out over the trash can. This brings me to my next suggestion: Get a sink strainer. The sink strainer will catch lint and hair, and you can easily wipe it out after each wash. This dolly has locking wheels, but honestly, the machine never moves while running, so I don’t even use them. It might be necessary for the smaller/lighter models though, and it doesn’t hurt to have the option. I like this particular dolly because of the slim profile. I can actually fit each foot of the machine in the corners of the dolly, so that it’s completely under the machine, without protruding around the edges, and it doesn’t make the footprint of the machine any larger. I’m very happy with this setup overall. Doing laundry at home is awesome! Hopefully this helps somebody.

You can use it as a portable and attach it to your sink or you can use it as a permanent machine by attaching the hot and cold water hoses into your laundry hook up. Definitely worth the price.    I have had this washer for just over 2 months now and I am well pleased with it. I did my research on different washing machines (that can be used without hookups) beforehand and decided on this one in part because of the warranty and the brand. It works well, simply no issues there. The way it washes seems a little strange, as it will swish the clothes around for maybe 1-2 min, then stop for 1-2 min. It still washes my clothes well. It is smaller than a typical washing machine of course and can’t hold as many clothes. The spin cycle gets them dry enough that when I leave them on a drying rack indoors, they dry usually in about 24 hrs. It is not that loud, although that wouldn’t really be an issue. You can hear the water swish in the machine, you can hear the sink when its filling with water, you can hear water rushing out when it drains, and you can hear the motor working to make the clothes move, although I’d say that’s the same noise level as the water swishing as the clothes move. I live in a pretty small apartment with no hookups and wanted to save money from not going to the laundromat and I wanted the comfort of doing laundry in my own home. I fully recommend this machine. I have already saved more money than I would have spent at the laundromat. My setup has my washer in the bathroom with the inlet hose connected to the sink and the drain hose also draining into the same sink. I have them connected with a rubber band so the drain hose stays in place. Figuring out how to attach the inlet hose to a sink took a little while, but I had to take the water aerator off the bathroom sink and then it was able to attach with the attachment it came with.   There are issues people have mentioned that I would like to address. Someone said the spin cycle on normal is set to 55 min and it seems to be a mistake in the programming. Mine initially said this too, but after my first use, it now says 5 or 9 min, depending on the cycle. Other people have mentioned that the washer will start draining water out of the drain hose before the water level is filled up enough, or if you use a bucket. I believe the issue there is the drain hose is not elevated high enough. It seems kind of weird, but if the drain hose is only raised high enough to drain into the bathtub for example, I had the same issue where the water would start draining before it filled to halfway (or if I added more from a bucket). Then, I raised my drain hose higher to drain into the bathroom sink, which is just about the same height as the washer, and now it fills almost to the brim and doesn’t drain water prematurely. The manual says the drain hose needs to be elevated to about 34 inches high for this reason I’m sure. In case people don’t read the manual or notice, there is a little filter on the inside wall of the washer which needs to be cleaned about every 10 washes or once a week or something like that. Its a little net that fills with lint and is very easy to clean.

   Make sure you remove all styrofoam supports before you try and use this machine!!! If you’re looking for a cheap reliable washer this is definitely what you want. If you don’t mind a tad bit bigger washer then I suggest you go check out your nearest Home Depot and Lowe’s for washers on clearance because I seen a whirlpool brand 4.8 cubic top loader for $475 which was really nice I would of bought that instead but I bought this first also I don’t know if the sink would work for the whirlpool so it is what it is. This black and Decker works with the sink which is why I went with this because my apartment doesn’t have a washer setup. So far so good with this washer it holds a good amount of clothes and being in an apartment with neighbors to the left, right, and below it’s great that this machine is quiet. When it’s on full speed spin which would be the loudest point for this washer you can’t hear it if your in the next room, also if your using a dolly to move the washer around you can put a shock resistant pad on the dolly and it will help even more with lowering the vibration and sound. As for the size it’s bigger then I thought it would be it’s about the same size as a regular washer it stands about 3ft tall out of the box but you can make it a little taller if you’d like. It’s still a good enough size to where you can tuck it away so it’s not taking up a lot of room which I like and if you put it on a dolly it super easy to move it around. It washes towels with ease and they come out super clean and if you use sent beads it’s really makes the clothes and the room smell very good you can smell it coming through the washer the sent on the clothes really POPs with this washer I’m not sure why but it’s way better then other washers I’ve used. I also love how you can mix and match different kinds of wash settings to how ever you want which not many washers do with other washers you kind of just get what they give you. Also keep in mind if you press the program button and it goes down the list of quick, bulky , normal and delicate the more you press the button you’ll notice the light starts to blink which means the settings on the left, So solid light is settings on the left and blinking light is settings on the right. As for how long this washer will last I believe it can last 10 years with no breaking down and if anything breaks on it I think it would be super easy and cheap to fix because I looked on the inside and the mechanism looks super simple and I don’t think it would be hard to fix plus black and decker has professionals that will come out and fix it. It also depends on how you treat it too if over load it you’ll probably get less time out of it but if you load it so there’s less strain on the motor it should last a long time. I like how the clothes come out nice and dry after the spin cycle so if you don’t have a dryer it doesn’t take much to get them fully dry. I also like the drain hose because it drains fast without the hose moving or falling and the water goes down the sink drain with no problems, I can have a bunch of dishes in the sink and the water has no trouble draining or filling up the sink. Also keep in mind it’s filling from a sink so it’s best to let the washer fill up half way before you put the clothes in so the clothes don’t soak up the water at the beginning making the fill take a lot longer. Over all great buy im very happy I bought this machine if anything changes I’ll update my review but I definitely recommend this washer and I also recommend the Comfee brand washer and Comfee brand portable dishwasher, if you need a portable dishwasher the comfee brand is amazing I’ve had mine for 4 years it works like new every time I use it and it runs and drains using the sink as well.

    My little washer arrived in perfect condition, brand new and ready to use. I placed it on a dolly with 360-degree rotating wheels for easy mobility, though it’s so lightweight I can lift it effortlessly.

    The attachment connected seamlessly to my bathroom sink, and the drain hose fit perfectly into the tub. I was impressed with how well it cleaned my clothes—after five loads (equivalent to about two regular washing machine loads), everything came out fresh and spotless. And the quiet spin-no shaking spin cycle! Um yes!!!!

    Moving forward, I plan to do smaller weekly loads, which is so much more convenient than hauling laundry to the laundromat. Absolutely worth it!
