   ***Warning: Long but fair review***

   I live on the 3rd floor of a 100-year old building with no elevator. Laundry time meant trekking down 3 flights of stairs into the scary dark basement to use the two washers and dryers shared by 40 other units in the building. You can imagine how inconvenient this was.

   This little machine changed the laundry game for me!

   The main thing to be aware of is this is NOT like a traditional washer that you load up and come back to 45 mins later with your clothes all ready for the dryer. It is not as passive, you are more involved in the washing process than with a traditional washer.

   That said, the hoses that came with this are complete trash, I didn’t even bother with them. I suppose you could find replacements but i fill mine using a plastic bucket and this method works just fine for me, the drum has lines indicating the necessary water levels for your load size.

   I have the 21.6 lbs model and I’m able to wash 5 sets of scrubs with room to spare (i avoid overfilling to get the best wash) And it is soo satisfying to see just how clean my clothes get when the water pumps out. I do two wash cycles per load to get all the suds out.

   The spin dryer works very well and gets most clothes very close to dry depending on the material. This part of the process involved a little trial and error for me. If the weight of the clothes isn’t properly distributed in the spin dryer, it will thump loudly against the drum and shake pretty violently. When this happens, i readjust the items in the drum. Once the weight is more balanced it picks up speed immediately and spins the hell out of the clothes… Very quietly!

   I hang the clothes on a foldable drying rack i got from Target and most of the items are fully dry overnight.

   I try to wash towels or other lint-producing items by themselves because it does seem that there’s no real lint solution built into this machine. A lint roller has been working fine for me though.

   What I love most about this machine is being able to stay on top of my laundry and keep it from piling up. I can do a small load every other day or so and it just makes laundry so, so convenient for me. As i mentioned, you’re more involved in the process with this machine and that’s totally fine for me as i can do other chores around my apartment in between the wash cycles, and between switching out the batches of clothes from the spin dryer.

   This machine is an excellent laundry solution for a single person and you could even make it work for two people if needed.

   I’m not sure about the durability over the long term as I’ve only had it for two weeks. I suppose there’s potential for the pump or the motor to go out eventually. But if it were to give out in a year, or even 6 months, i’d still consider it to be worth the cost ($143 after shipping and tax), based on the price of doing laundry outside the home and the huge convenience factor.

   I was extremely excited to purchase this portable item . I’m a mom , that’s currently on bed rest , due to a metal plate in my leg becoming loose & due for surgery soon . . I haven’t been able to go outside however I have two school age boys and wanted to feel useful . The dryer doesn’t spin . The dryer doesn’t dry . When the dryer timer is turnt on , it drains out water everywhere . I had to hand squeeze out water from their uniforms . I’m hoping they will be dried by morning . I have blue chucks all over my bathroom floor . I’m so frustrated .

   The drain motor died after 3 .months. I love it other than that. I think something was wrong right from the begining because it was noisy when spinning and was slipping. I am now waiting to hear from the store to see if they will do something.
