When I saw this I instantly recognized that I could use this in three personal clothing situations: -Drying shirts I hang dry so i can retain a certain shape and seam pattern -Drying my heavy pants that usually leave my pockets wet to damp after hang drying -Drying clothing on the road in our camper van This is a mostly self contained set up. The electrical cord is short. One will either need to be close to an outlet or an extension cord will be really useful. Open the lid, pop up the outer hanger and hang it where you please, open the bag, pull down the “rod” and insert your clothes on a hanger, zip the bag closed, press buttons to get to the time and other opportunities you want. Does it actually sterilize? I don’t know. The UV light does come on. The timer is basically in hour increments. I don’t know if I would need hours and hours of operation, but I can imagine that wet items might really need that time, but I didn’t test it. I think this is a useful, not very expensive item that hope will give me decent service. It’s not an incredible piece of machinery, so this is a very good four star item.

This took some doing to get functional. It does work, but there are several issues that make it really inconvenient. Maybe if I was really really desperate to get clothes dry quickly and had no dryer and somehow I’m that situation also had 1) a place to hang the thing that wasn’t too close to a wall (it says not to hang it too close to a wall), 2) a place that could reach a power outlet with it’s ridiculously short cord (you’d to be able to hang it tall enough for the thing to hang, but low enough that it can reach the outlet), the kind of hangers that won’t melt from the heat and won’t burn or stain my wet clothes (I had no idea what to use…will plastic melt? I didn’t want to find out the hard way!) I don’t know. Any place I’m desperate enough to need dry clothes and I don’t have a dryer isn’t going to have all the things I need to set up this dryer. For some reason I thought this would be great for camping or in hotels after swimming. But it’s a big pain.

I previously bought another brand of portable clothes dryer that is cumbersome to use. So I decided to purchase this portable clothes because it had features the one lacked. Mainly a standard hanger size to that hangs on standard rod and the fabric cover is attached to the lid making it easy to set up. There is also a slotted rod attached to the unit (for the hangers) that folds up for storage. I have used this several times. Takes a very long time to dry tops and trousers due to the low power. I like the ease of use, but for my needs I need a dryer with more power and wider to get good air flow over all the clothes.

The cord was Soo short. Tried to dry 4 pair of very thin joga pants. After 2 HOURS still not even close to dry. Good luck if you buy. My closet does not have power outlets so I had to buy a 15 FT power cord. Also you can NOT put it on the back of a door or anything because of how it is made. And a shower curtain rod would not hold the weight. Very unhappy with this.

DESCRIPTION: This is a portable mini clothes dryer. You suspend it and place your clothes inside the fabric bag, and the top unit blows warm air into the bag and vents it out the bottom. A timer allows setting dryer times in 60 minute increments up to 480 minutes. ———————— ASSEMBLY: To set it up: 1. Remove the bottom cover 2. Hang the unit up using the hook. 3. The fabric bag will fall down into place. 4. Unzip the bag, reach inside, and fold down the hanging bar. 5. Place your wet clothes on hangers, place them inside the bag on the hanging bar. 6. Zip the bag closed. 7. Turn unit on, select dry time and fan speed (low/high). ———————— HOW I USED IT: We immediately thought of using this when camping. We are always trying to dry bathing suits and towels using a makeshift line outside, with little success. We did not want to use it INSIDE our camper, as condensation is always an issue there, but we found we could just hang it outside from our awning and run it there. We initially tested this using a wet bathing suit. It dried the suit in about 30 minutes. We tried both low and high fan speeds but that did not make much difference. When not using this with the camper, we keep this in our basement laundry area and use it for small items that did not get completely dry in the regular dryer load, like the occasional balled-up socks. This way we don’t have to run the big dryer for one or two items. ———————— PLUS POINTS: Small and portable. When stored, it is a small unit, not much bigger than a shoebox. We like how the timer counts down to show time remaining then turns off, so we can leave it unattended. It works best with synthetic materials, not heavy cottons. 115v 600w allows use of standard extension cords. The supplied cord is very short. ———————— MINUS POINTS: Be aware this unit does not vent to the outside like a conventional dryer. All the moisture that is removed from your clothes is just vented out the bottom of the fabric bag into the room, and for this reason you may wish to limit indoor use to minimize condensation. The box and online photos show it hanging from a U-shaped rack. Be aware that rack is not included. ———————— OVERALL: Very pleased with this product, and we look forward to using it especially during camping season. We had always wished for a small mini-dryer for this purpose! PS> It is not camping season here for six months so the photo shows it running in our basement.
