I bought this product for those times when I may want to hand wash an item while traveling and I want to dry it out a bit faster than would normally happen. I tested this product with a worst case scenario. I used a 100% cotton t-shirt and 100% cotton shorts. I hand washed both items and only wrung them out with my hands. So, they both would still be a bit drippy. I had the hair dryer set to the hottest temperature. After a half hour each item was dry enough that I actually had some patches of completely dry fabric. I felt that I could hang the item to dry completely without causing any water damage to the floor. I would think that if you have quick-dry clothing then the drying time with this product would be considerably less. Or, if you wrapped the item in a towel and stepped on it to get more moisture out that would also shorten the drying time. I will keep this product because it will help me for the purpose that I purchased it for.
