   This review is for the 2-in-1 compact portable washer/spinner PURE CLEAN, PUCWM23. Apparently made by PyleUSA, however not printed on the front of the machine, just on a small label in back and on the manual. The manual is marginal as it is exactly for this machine, yet fails to explain the function of one of the button settings (!?). The power cord is intended for a grounded 3-pin outlet and is located in the middle rear and is very short, perhaps 3-4 feet. The 1-inch drain hose is also very short, only about 18″ and is located in the lower right side on the rear and hooks to the side of the machine. Draining is by gravity, so make sure the machine sits higher than the drain. The machine comes with a longer water inlet hose which is very small in diameter and probably won’t fit on most faucets of modern households. Do not set the machine into the bathtub, because the feet are very low and once it starts draining, the water will flood the bottom of the machine. The machine should sit on something solid, as it likes to wobble very much during the wash cycle. You will want to stay with the machine while it is doing the washing!! The wash cycle can be set at any time – 15 minutes is the maximum, but that can of course be set again, after the 15 minutes run out. If doing this, make sure to give the motor a rest too, or you might burn it up. In my video, you can see how violently the wash cycle treats the machine! I don’t think I overloaded the machine, as it did this even when it was only filled with water, with no laundry. There is no indicator or suggestion how many gallons of water are needed for one wash cycle. The manual only speaks of “water level – volume” which is supposed to be “high low” or “high” depending on the type of fabric and/or degree of soiling. There is no visual indicator of what “high low” or “high” water level means. I decided for my regular wash of a few pieces of clothing the average amount of water is 4 gallons (I pour them in with a 5-gallon container). Then you need another 4 gallons for the rinse cycle. If you have poured too much laundry detergent in there, a second rinse cycle would be advised! In my case, I poured in a tiny tea spoon of detergent, and my only rinse cycle did not get rid of all the sud… but this machine is intended for my RV, and with only limited water, I’ll try my best to use just drops of detergent in the future, so my washes will be using only 8 gallons of water (4 gall for the wash, 4 gall for the rinse). I chose this machine because of the following: – small footprint – the stated measurements are true and include the height of the buttons. I had only 26″ of height space and the machine fits with about an inch to spare – this machine was sold and shipped via portablewasherdryercombo.com, which made the price a bit higher (compared to other almost identical ones sold by other companies), but I figured if there is something wrong with it, a return and refund should be very easy since I am dealing with portablewasherdryercombo.com. THE BIGGEST NEGATIVE: The water temperature of this machine shouldn’t exceed 104F. If your body temperature is around 98.6F, you know that 104F isn’t more than probably lukewarm! So if you wash your underwear, ladies, be very vary! If sensitive and susceptible, you could easily develop UTI’s from underwear that isn’t properly washed and cleaned!!! In conclusion – this is a good machine to have for RVing or in a small apartment. However, you cannot have great expectations when choosing such a machine! The wash load can be only relatively small and while the washing isn’t really labor-intensive, you will have to basically tend to the machine the entire time…. first to fill it with water, then make sure that it won’t wobble itself into a precarious situation during the 15 minute wash, then you’ll have to engage the draining and make sure it drains somewhere safe… then repeat everything again for the rinse cycle…. then supervise the whole thing again, and after 15 minutes its now time to do the spinning cycle that lasts 5 minutes or more, if you decide to engage it again…. So! Bring a good book and be prepared to be interrupted quite a bit! But isn’t that the same in the laundromat, except there you have to pay a fortune for the washing? The next step up would be a fully automatic washing machine. Those have automatic water intake, and they don’t drain by gravity but have a pump for drainage, making their setup a bit easier. Plus the wash drum also serves as the centrifuge (spinner), so there is much less involvement. I have one like that and love it, but none of these are compact enough to fit in my RV (height-wise), so this semi-automatic machine has to do….. I give it an overall star rating of 4 stars. Not the greatest, but much better than a laudromat!

   This product is exactly what the description says. If you don’t read the specs you may think it’s more than it is. I needed something small and easy and this works very very well for me. My negative on the product. The water intake hose is very cheap and short. It’s an easy problem to solve depending on your water source.. have an idea before you buy it on water source drain area and power cord. All that being suits, I’m happy with my purchase

   This baby has changed my life! I set it up like the photo in my small city apt. bathroom and got a rinseroo (5 ft. Size is fine!) to attach it to my bathroom sink so its super easy to fill-definitely recommend getting that to fill it bc the one it comes with just plain does not work! Putting it higher than the tub (an 18-gallon storage container works great in a pinch for a surface to put it on!) helps when draining so the machine doesn’t sit in water directly in the tub. Works well for one flat sheet and 2 pillowcases in a load or 2 towels for one load; otherwise it overfills a bit. Jeans work just fine in there although you should put probs only 1 or two more items with heavier items like jeans. Otherwise I fit 3 scrubs tops, 2 scrubs bottoms, 3 sport bar work tank tops, one pair of work leggings, and 5 pairs of underwear and socks in one load! The convenience brings a tear to my eye! Usually a simple task like that was so much preplanning, only to get to the few washers in the basement of my large apt complex and they’re completely full. Like, no. Those days are over. So happy with the quality of life improvement this cheerful little workhorse has brought me! And one last thing! I fill water about halfway, throw in clothes, add regular detergent, wash, drain, spin items for 1-2 mins to get soap off (spinner is smaller so have to do a few spin loads but nbd); refill drum with water and either fabric softener or fabric rinse and the spun clothes, do that as the rinse cycle, drain and then spin the items for 3-4 mins (honestly prob won’t need more than that), and hang them up on a dollar store laundry rack in my living room overnight. If you don’t have a dryer available, I recommend the fabric rinse in the rinse cycle highly bc your air dry towels will stay super fresh and not musty! Anyhoo I recommend this washer highly as it adds major convenience to small living space/busy life, gets items fresh and clean, honestly probably uses less water than regular washers, and makes you feel like you’ve got some stability in your life! 😂 hahaha true story!

   the product is a nice little machine easy to use and move. i did not overload, i repeat did not overload the machine but the on my last load it shorted out and i seen sparks come from the bottom. the spin dryer still works but it leaks.. better then nothing i suppose. so back to hand washing and spin drying

   I absolutely love this little washer/spin dryer combo. I’m a 90 lb weakling and I can lift this to set it on the table to wash. I place it on top of a throw rug which helps keep it quieter and less likely to shimmy (you could use a rubber mat, too.) It is just a bit too big to fit on my kitchen counter and because the power cord and the drain tube are low, near the bottom of the machine, putting it in my extremely slow-draining bathtub is out. I fill it with a bucket. I drain into a bucket; it drains with gravity. All of this is worth it to me so that I do not have to go out to do laundry. It will handle 4-5 pairs of leggings; or 4-5 short sleeve shirts; or 3 long sleeve knit shirts with some smaller items like socks. It’s great for socks and underwear, night gowns, pillow cases. I use it to wash my dishcloths and dish towels–with bleach (bleach is ok in this machine.) I use it to wash hand towels and thin bathroom towels. I emphasize thin bath towels. I have seen reviews of people claiming they wash heavy jeans and towels in this. I’m sure you can, but you would need to reduce the size of the load to compensate. I don’t cram the washer full. One of those enormous plush bath towels might be a load in this machine. The directions say to use cool or warm water, not scaldingly hot. I usually rinse twice. (Rinsing is just filling the washer with cold water, letting it agitate for a few minutes and then draining.) A whole, filled to the ‘H’ line load only takes at most 1.5 tablespoons of detergent. (Most people use too much detergent even in a full-size washer.) I usually set the washer to 9-12 minutes, but none of my clothes are heavily soiled. The spin cycle it is about as loud as a blender. The wash is about as loud as a relatively quiet vacuum cleaner. I wring the rinsed clothes by hand (over the stopped washer tub as it is draining) and pack them evenly in the spin dryer: remember there is a weight limit for the spin dryer. The ‘lid’ for the spin dryer will fit; you have to angle it to get it in, then it should be firmly shoved down on top. It is loudest as it is powering up and down. If you hear a really loud racket the load is probably unbalanced and/or the lid is not in place. The clothes come out really clean and the spin dryer really works–1-2 mins of spinning and the clothes are almost dry. I can wash lightweight items in the morning and they are dry by evening (this depends on the humidity of the room, of course.) If you must wear a uniform every day–this is an ideal way to care for them. This was well worth the purchase to me for its convenience. I will still use a commercial laundromat for bedspreads and other really big items. Update: This great machine lasted 3 years before it needed a repair at the end of June 2024. The drain hose developed cracks and I had to have the drain hose replaced. A friend took the washer bottom off and jammed a new hose in place. It took two of us to position the top and the bottom while he made sure it was all correctly back in place. Will it last forever? I doubt it. And I think I would have been better off with the replacement hose portablewasherdryercombo.com sells; the one I bought locally is rather stiff plastic. If you’re not mechanically inclined and strong enough, you’re going to find opening up the washer and replacing that a real problem. Now, at the beginning of July 2024 I notice that the drain control does not always close, which can be a real problem when you’re draining into a bucket like I do. However, so far if I turn it open-closed it gets itself re-situated. But I expect this might just be the beginning of the end. So far it still washes and spins great although it seems to me the washer is a little louder than it used to be. Has it been worth it? Absolutely, yes!

   I absolutely adore this washing machine. It’s easy to use, it works incredibly well, and it’s just kinda fun. It’s also surprisingly lightweight even with water in it. I do wish the plug was a bit longer so I could set it in the bathtub, but it’s fine on the floor. The only “issue” I have with it is the spin cycle. It’s works incredibly well getting the clothes damn near dry, it just shimmy and shakes a lot so I have to hold it so it’s not too loud. That may not be an issue for anyone who has something soft to go under it. The water drains well, its gravity fed so just lift it up when it’s almost done to make sure all the water is out. The drain hose does it job and is a good length. All in all, it’s a great buy for anyone who is tired of going to the laundromat every other week and doesn’t mind smaller loads.

    I have been using this machine for around 6 months and I absolutely love it! I am disabled and I don’t have a car and going to the laundry mat is a major undertaking for me. This machine is very lightweight, so I keep it in a closet when not in use, then set it up in my bathtub when I need to do laundry. My biggest complaint is that the intake hose isn’t really compatible with any faucets, I had to Jerry rig a solution, but honestly you could fill the machine with a bucket and it would work just as well. The spin cycle works VERY well, but you have to be careful to not overload it. Usually I have to split a load of wash into 2 loads to spin. Then I hang everything up on my shower rod and it’s fully dry in a couple hours. The machine works great with any laundry soap, both liquid and powdered, and gets my clothes nice and clean! It is a small machine, so it’s not going to work for large items like comforters. I can wash 6-8 articles of clothing per wash, and the whole wash/rinse/spin cycle takes less than hour to complete. This machine is perfect for apartment living, or if you are living in an RV or tiny house. It fits nicely in a closet when not in use, and works perfectly set up in a tub or shower.

    how to use. Use the 15 minute timer. Add a tiny amount of soap, in talking a quarter drop. Average male 6ft these are my load sizes. Load one – 1 pair of jeans and socks and underwear. Load 2 – 4 to 5 T shirts. Load 3 the rest of the socks and underwear like 5 pairs or underwear and socks. Load 4 maby one towel and a T-shirt. Bulky items like towels and jackets and even heavy jeans should always be done alone but I throw small garments in to make the time more efficient. Ok so about 10min into the wash I flip on the fresh water and let it overfill and it will help get the soapy water out, if not you have to drain and re fill for a rinse cycle but that takes time. I find that 10 min wash and 5-8 min with the fresh water on does the trick. Now drying I only put a few pieces of clothing in and run for 30sec to 1 min l. I found that anytime over 1 min is wasted. I can do all that laundry in 45 min. It’s not automatic so an egg timer or use your phone to maximize time. Now for full dry I dry indoors in a vented room and fan blowing on the clothing. T shirts dry in 3-4 hours but jeans and towels take all night.
